What Dallas patients come to us for
If you’re in Dallas with hot flashes, night waking, mood swings or brain fog, you’ve probably been told to wait it out. Many women who book from Dallas are in perimenopause rather than menopause, and are looking for hormone replacement therapy or a doctor who prescribes bioidentical hormones.
Hormone therapy treats those symptoms directly. At the first visit your provider goes through your symptoms, history and goals, and tells you whether hormone therapy or another treatment fits. If it does, the most common starting point is estradiol through the skin as a patch or gel, with oral micronized progesterone. The starting regimen depends on you.
HRT in Dallas usually means pellets. Ours doesn’t.
Many Dallas–Fort Worth hormone clinics lead with pellets. Pellets are small implants placed under the skin that release estradiol or testosterone for months. Once they’re in, the dose can’t be changed or removed, levels often run above the normal range, and The Menopause Society doesn’t recommend them.
Golden Leaf Health doesn’t offer pellets. We prescribe patches, gels, creams, pills and vaginal forms, so a dose that’s too high or too low can be changed at a follow-up.

If you’d rather see someone in person, ask any Dallas provider three things: which hormone forms they prescribe, how a dose gets changed, and what the first six months cost in full.
Bioidentical hormones, and how we prescribe them
“Bioidentical” means the hormone has the same molecular structure as the one your body makes. The estradiol and progesterone we prescribe are FDA-approved bioidentical products from an ordinary pharmacy. Where a dose or form isn’t made commercially, or an ingredient doesn’t suit you, your provider can write a compounded prescription, with our compounding pharmacist advisor behind the decision. Compounded hormones are a customized dose; they are not FDA-approved.
What a Dallas video visit is like
You book a time at start.goldenleafhc.com, confirm you’ll be in Texas, and read the telehealth consent. The visit itself is a one-on-one video call from wherever you are, as long as it’s private and the signal holds. Your provider decides at that visit whether lab tests are needed to start; many women begin without them. If labs are ordered, you’re told how and where to have them done. If treatment is right for you, the prescription goes to a pharmacy that can fill it for you in Texas.
After that, membership covers your ongoing care: two to three follow-up visits with a doctor to review your plan, check-ins through HIPAA-compliant messaging, regular Q&A sessions with the experts and a library of resources chosen by the team. You can message your care team any time.
Who you’ll see
Texas patients are treated by a physician licensed in Texas, through Golden Leaf Health, PC. The care team is Dr. Ashley Alexis, ND, Dr. Steve Groke, MD, and Mai Tran, PharmD, our compounding pharmacist advisor. Our About page introduces each of them.
Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Arlington and the rest of the Metroplex
The visit is the same from Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Denton or Rockwall. Patients elsewhere in Texas can read the Texas page for Houston, Austin and San Antonio.
What a year of care from Dallas would cost
The first visit is $99. Membership starts one month later at $49 a month, so a full year is $638 before prescriptions and labs. Pick how long you expect to stay and add a rough prescription budget to see your own number. Nothing you enter is saved or sent.
$638 for 12 months
| First visit | $99 |
|---|---|
| Membership, 11 months at $49 | $539 |
| Prescriptions, your estimate | Not included |
| Lab tests | Priced separately; depends on what is tested |
No insurance is billed. FSA and HSA cards are accepted. The $99 is refunded if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead; membership is required for refills and ongoing care and renews monthly until you cancel.
Common questions
Does Golden Leaf Health have an office in Dallas?
No. Golden Leaf Health is based in Carlsbad, California, and treats Dallas–Fort Worth patients by video through Golden Leaf Health, PC. Prescriptions come from a physician licensed in Texas. There is nowhere to drive to; every visit happens on your phone or computer.
How much does hormone replacement therapy cost in Dallas with Golden Leaf Health?
The first visit is $99. One month later, membership begins at $49 a month and covers your ongoing care: follow-up visits with a doctor, messaging and resources. Prescriptions and any lab tests are priced separately. We don't bill insurance; FSA and HSA cards are accepted.
Do you prescribe bioidentical hormones to Dallas patients?
Yes. We prescribe FDA-approved bioidentical estradiol and progesterone products and, where appropriate, compounded prescriptions. Your provider explains which fits you and why. Compounded hormones are not FDA-approved.
Do you offer hormone pellets in Dallas?
No. Pellets are small implants placed under the skin that release estradiol or testosterone for months. They can't be adjusted or removed once placed, often push levels above the normal range, and aren't recommended by The Menopause Society. We prescribe forms whose dose can be changed at a follow-up.
How soon can I be seen in Dallas?
You pick a time from the booking calendar at start.goldenleafhc.com, and the visit happens on that date by video. Menopause care is all Golden Leaf Health does, so the first visit is about your symptoms and options, not a referral.
Do I have to be in Dallas for the visit?
You have to be in Texas. Telehealth rules require you to be physically in the state during the video visit, because your clinician's Texas licence is what allows them to treat you. Fort Worth, Plano, Denton or a parked car in Waco all count.
Can you treat perimenopause, or only menopause?
Both. Perimenopause often starts in your 40s, and symptoms can begin years before periods stop. You don't need a diagnosis to book.
