Training and licensure
- Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, Bastyr University San Diego, 2017. Bastyr is one of the accredited naturopathic medical schools in North America, with a four-year, science-based medical curriculum.
- Licensed naturopathic doctor in California. Dr. Alexis sees patients in California. Outside California, Golden Leaf Health’s care comes from a clinician licensed in your state, and she supports that care as part of the team; the current list of states is in the questions on our homepage.
How she practices
Dr. Alexis starts by listening. Many women in perimenopause and menopause have had plenty of tests but little time to explain what is happening to them. A first visit with her is a conversation about your symptoms, your health history and what you have already tried. Treatment and lab work come after that.
Most of her patients come for hormone therapy. She builds the plan around it and adds evidence-based natural therapies for sleep, mood and metabolic health where they help. At follow-ups, she adjusts your plan as your symptoms change.
Her goal, in her own words from the About page, is to help women address the root causes of menopause symptoms and live a long and healthy life full of purpose and love.
