Golden Leaf Health treats perimenopause and menopause anywhere in Texas by video. Your first visit is $99, prescriptions come from a physician licensed in Texas, and ongoing care is $49 a month. We have no office in Texas, so care works the same from a Dallas suburb and from a ranch outside Abilene.

Who treats Texas patients

Texas patients are treated through Golden Leaf Health, PC by a physician licensed in Texas, supported by the rest of the care team: Dr. Ashley Alexis, ND, Dr. Steve Groke, MD, and Mai Tran, PharmD, our compounding pharmacist advisor. You can read about each of them on our About page. Every physician licensed in Texas is listed in the Texas Medical Board’s public lookup.

What has to be true for us to treat you

  • You’re in Texas at the time of each video visit. Your clinician’s Texas licence is what allows them to treat you, so a visit from across the state line in Shreveport or Oklahoma City can’t go ahead that day. Home, work or a parked car in Texas all count.
  • You have a phone or computer with a camera and a private place to talk for the visit.
  • You’re a woman with perimenopause or menopause symptoms. You don’t need a diagnosis, a referral or a previous hormone test to book.

How a Texas video visit works

  1. Book. Pick a time at start.goldenleafhc.com, confirm you’ll be in Texas, and read the telehealth consent.
  2. Talk. A one-on-one video visit about your symptoms, history, lifestyle and goals.
  3. Test, if it would change the plan. Your provider decides at the first visit whether labs are needed to start. If they are, they order them and tell you how and where to have them done. Many women start without labs.
  4. Treat. If hormone therapy or another treatment is right for you, your prescription goes to a pharmacy that can fill it for you in Texas. Membership covers your ongoing care: follow-up visits with a doctor, check-ins through HIPAA-compliant messaging, regular Q&A sessions with the experts and a library of resources chosen by the team.

Where in Texas

Dallas–Fort Worth. More people find us from Dallas–Fort Worth than from anywhere else in Texas, most of them searching for hormone replacement therapy. The Dallas page covers how our care compares to a Dallas clinic, which hormone forms we prescribe and what it costs.

Houston. Houston patients are seen by the same physician licensed in Texas and book the same way. Everything on this page applies from Katy to The Woodlands, and there is nothing to drive to inside the Loop.

Austin. Austin patients mostly search for a menopause specialist, and many book in perimenopause while periods still come. The Austin page covers what a specialist visit is like by video and what it costs.

San Antonio. San Antonio patients ask for a specialist and for menopause testing. The San Antonio page explains when a hormone test helps, when it doesn’t, and how the visit fits a military family’s schedule.

Everywhere else. El Paso, Lubbock, Amarillo, Corpus Christi, the Valley and the Hill Country are a long way from a menopause specialist. By video they’re the same distance as Dallas.

Prescriptions and labs in Texas

Prescriptions are sent to a pharmacy that can fill them for you in Texas. We prescribe FDA-approved bioidentical estradiol and progesterone products and, where appropriate, compounded prescriptions, and your provider explains which fits you. Compounded hormones are not FDA-approved. We don’t offer pellets anywhere we practise.

If labs are needed, your provider orders them and tells you how and where to have them done. Lab prices depend on what is tested.
